Welcome Spring!!!!!

Let the all whole love baseball rejoice!!!!!! Today is opening day of the 2011 season. HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!! I live for this time every year. I love baseball and I love spring and summer!!!!! So for me opening day always marks the days of warmer weather, laying out by the pool, watching many hours of baseball, drinking lemonade, listening to the neighbors kids play outdoors, and hours and hours of yard work. Bring it on I am so ready for this season to start!!!!!

Not much to update on. Our lives are kind of boring. What can we say. Shane drew out for his a turkey this year, and will be out scooping the area for a wild turkey, as the hunt is in April sometime. Shane will be heading out for scout camp in a few weeks, and will also be attending the Aaronic Priesthood camp this June with our stake. I am so excited that I will be attending girls camp this year as part of Stake Staff. I am very very excited about it, and can not wait until it draws closer. We will be going the 18th through the 22nd of July. Home just in time for my birthday!!!!

Other things that we are looking forward to this spring/summer. Shane and I will be celebrating six years of marriage. Hopefully going someplace to celebrate, who know what he has up his sleeve. I am just hoping to have a great time this spring and summer and to keep a positive attitude with all that I do. It really does help boost ones soul. Love to all.

Ice Fishing 2010/2011

Shane and I have been busy this winter season doing some ice fishing, and the season is still quite young. We have enjoyed the time together, and the fishing although slow at times is just fine for me. I just like to get out and enjoy the world around me. Things are just seem a little quieter during the winter months in the mountains than in the summer, and I love the peace and quite that surrounds us.

Our first trip together this season took us to Schofield Reservoir in December

Our next trip we took Aynsley with us to Strawberry Res. She had a great time!!!!! Shane and Aynsley were the only ones who caught anything that day. The fish were nice sized, but because of the strict rules at Strawberry we could not bring any home. The fish have to be over 22", Aynsley's came close, but couldn't stretch it out.

Aynsley reeling in her fish

Look at the smile on that girl. Does that look like someone who is bored?

Our last trip Shane and I took Ryan along. They spent the morning ice fishing at Grantsville Reservoir before coming home to get me to go to Vernon Reservoir. These pics are from Vernon.

I caught my first Tiger Trout. Shane was a little mad about this because he has never caught one in all of his years of fishing.

Quick update

These past few months have been busy for Shane and I. With celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, we were busy for a little while. Now things have started to settle down a little bit, and we can really start to focus on some things that need to be focused on.

Much to be Grateful for

I do have much to be thankful for, and really do look forward to this time of year, so that I can reflect on what my Heavenly Father has given me over the past year.

These past few days have been very hard on me, as I am still struggling each and every time a certain visitor comes around each month. I really beat myself up over it, and really wonder why we have such a difficult time getting pregnant. I know that I have to trust in the Lord and in his timing, but it doesn't make it any easier.

I know that my testimony hasn't been where I need it to be, and where the Lord needs it to be, and I have been working on that. I have been really trying to be diligent in saying my morning and evening prayers. I have also been trying to read from the scriptures daily, along with family scripture study too. As I have begun to do this, my testimony has been strengthened I can feel the love that Heavenly Father and our Savior have for each of us. I still have a ways to go, but I can and do feel his love for me.

I am truly grateful for the things that our Savior has given us. I have so much to be grateful for.
I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost who helps lead us and direct us in the paths that we need to be on. I am grateful for my baptismal and temple covenants, and for the chance to renew these covenants weekly. I am grateful for the many family and friends that fast and pray for us on a continual basis. You may never know how your faith, and prayers have helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I look forward to this time of year, as our thoughts turn more to the Savior and what he has given us. I love going to the temple and feeling the love that he has for each of us. I am planning to make weekly trips in to the temple, and have set aside a special day that I will do this.

I bear witness that Jesus is the Christ, and that we can all be saved, if we obey by his precepts. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and I know that I can feel the truthfulness of it, as I read from it daily. I love it!!!!! There is no doubt in my mind that this gospel isn't true. I know it with all my heart, and I know that He hears and answers our prayers.

I am so grateful for all I have been given in my life. In these things I testify, that I know that this church is true, and that Heavenly Father has prophets and apostles to lead us and guide us through these days. I love my Savior with all my heart, and thank him daily for all that I have been given.

Where have I been?

Where have I been? I wish I could tell you that I had been on some dream vacation, but that just isn't true. I have been slacking majorly on the blogging bit. I am not surprised either!!!!! I have been working horrible hours of 2:00 in the morning for the past couple of months now, and really I don't see an end in sight, and blogging just happens to be at the bottom of the list of things that I need to do.

Today is rainy and gloomy. I love this kind of weather!!!! It's the kind of weather that makes you want to curl up in a toasty warm blanket and watch a good movie or read a good book. It is also soup weather!!!!! One of the many reasons why I love fall. I love fall!!!!! The fall colors, pulling out cold weather clothing, baking, fixing soup, soup and even more soup. Shane has even predicted when soup is for dinner. This bothers me as I hate being anything but predictable.

Shane and I have both been staying busy working. We both are very thankful to have the jobs that we do. Shane hunted this past archery hunt, and was unsuccessful, and didn't get to hunt as much as he would have loved to. He has been very busy with Scouts this year. Hopefully next year might be a little calmer where he can go and enjoy the things that he loves to do.

As for me, I am working in Primary and currently teach the eight year olds. Oh what a hand full they can be. I am dealing with a class that has about seven boys and three girls on a regular basis. Some Sundays are crazier than others, but I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve these young servants.
Like I mentioned earlier work has been CRAZY!!!!! We are headed into the busiest time of the year too. Oh the joys of Christmas and working!!!! I am very grateful for the job that I have (even if it is crazy weird hours), it gives me time to go shopping and hang out with my mom.

I am looking forward to this Thanksgiving season and Christmas season. I have much to be grateful for.

Where did summer go?

I can not believe how time has flown by. I still can't believe that it is mid September, and that I will have to be thinking of Christmas soon. YIKES!!!!!

Shane and I had a busy but very exciting summer. Shane was busy with scout camps, young men's, fishing and hunting (which he didn't get to do a ton of this year, and was very disappointed).
I spent a few weeks visiting with my brother and his family, going here and there. We went to The Kennecott Copper Mine, Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum, and saw some very interesting forms of Dinosaurs. We visited Temple Square, and the Church History Museum, and Shane and I even got to do a session with my brother and his wife, and my parents at the Salt Lake Temple. It was an enjoyable time, and look forward to spending time with them in the future. I think what topped the time spent with my brother was that we finally got to spend OUR birthday together. I can't remember the last time that I got to have my birthday with my twin. It had been at least ten years.

I took WAAAYYY to many pictures and it would take forever to post them on here, so here are just a few highlights from our summer.

California Trip

Shane and I celebrated our fifth Anniversary this past April, and Shane had a wonderful surprise for me this year. As many of you know that I love Baseball, but more importantly Yankees Baseball. I have loved the team since I was little, and have followed them faithfully since the early 90's. Well last fall when they released the schedule for 2010, and found out the the Yankees would be playing Inter-league ball against the LA Dodgers in L.A. I instantly wanted to go, and I was literally trying to find EVERY option to go to this game.
Spring came and the day that tickets were to finally go on sale, and the Dodgers had them blocked out. The only way we would be purchasing tickets to the game was if we purchased a mini plan or were season ticket holders. Way to expensive, and I was not willing to do that for the Dodgers.
So I was disappointed, and resolved that I would be watching the series from home, and I was ok with that, when our anniversary rolled around. Shane came home, and told me a quick story of how he was cleaning out his tool box at work when he found our Wedding Announcement. I thought it was cute how he had held on to it for five years, then I decided to open it up and read it. Total shock came over my face when I read Dodgers.com on the side of the tickets, and was SO SUPER EXCITED!!!!! Shane's boss had helped him score tickets from a ticket dealer in L.A. Wow I have an amazing husband!!!! I love him more every day, and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am glad that we share some of the same hobbies (baseball being the top of that list).
I love you Shane!!!! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary, with many more to come.

So with that the last weekend in June, Shane and I finally got to take our Anniversary trip. I was anticipating it ever since we had our anniversary. We spent a very nice and beautiful trip filled with Disneyland, a few Yankees/Dodgers games, shopping, the beach and even getting lost a time or two. We both enjoyed the days in Cali and the much needed rest and relaxation.

Here are a few pictures of our trip. Enjoy!!!! Sorry for the picture overload. I got a little camera happy when we were at the games, and drained my camera both nights.
