I thought that I would share a few pictures with all of you, of our Christmas. Shane and I are boring and I had the camera out to take pictures, but we didn't take any of us that morning. We didn't even have bed head (which I think makes Christmas memories even better. Pics to bribe the kids or family with later). Most of these pictures are of Christmas eve and Christmas day at my sisters house. Sad I didn't take more pictures for the memories, maybe next year.
The Fam playing Boggle on Christmas Eve

Aynsley playing a puzzle game. My mom loves puzzles and even more puzzle games, anything to challenge your mind. When she pulls these games out I run the other way.

Happy New Year!!!

I wanted to change my background to be bright, and fun. I guess I'm in need of little pick me up. It took me FOREVER to get in the mood for Christmas and now, i'm just ready for the new year to begin. We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. Well with the new year fast approaching, we hope that it brings you all joy with whatever 2009 brings to you and your family. May the Lord bless all of you!!!!

Christmas Tag

A friend of mine was tagged to share her favorite Christmas decorations. I thought that this could be a fun and easy way to see all of the cute holiday decorations that everyone has. So I am sharing with all of you my Christmas decorations. I have already shared with you my tree. (it's a few posts down check it out there). My favorite Christmas decoration has to be this
Yep my Nativity set!!!!! I have always loved nativity scenes, but this one has special meaning. It was made by my grandparents (Taylor), many years ago. It is the one thing I WANTED so badly when my grandfather died this past July. My mom has one just like it, and I have always wanted one of my own. I will cherish this forever. The pieces aren't mint by any means, one of the kings waves (his hand broke and was glued on with what looks like hot glue), the cow has a broken horn. But no matter the condition I love it just the same. It is in my china hutch safe and sound.
This year my favorite decoration is......

This!!!! Shane surprised me with this last week. It is a string of Christmas light that have Shotgun shells on them. This of course made me laugh, so to make Shane happy I kept them up.
His family even commented on the wonderful decoration and tape job.

It's kind of Redneckie, but it really is kind of funny. Come on over and check it out if you get a chance.
My favorite Christmas ornaments are one that my family has given our family. I love Disney and so my favorite ones are the new mickey one that the Egan's brought back from there trip.

And this one my brother sent us last year. It is one of my favs because I love the movie Cinderella. It is an all time classic. Thanks again Taylor family!!!!!

So now it's your turn. I am tagging all of you. I want you to share with all of us, your Christmas favs. Love you all!!!!

Treasures!!!!

A few weeks ago, my family went over to clean a few things out of my Grandpa Taylor's old house. I wanted to share with all of you the treasure that I came home with.

Yep its my Grandma's china hutch. I came home with everything that was inside of it too.
Mostly junk, but it brought back a lot of memories of looking in this hutch when I was just little and admiring everything that was inside it. I thought back then that it was a fine treasure.

I am looking for something to go in it after Christmas is over. Don't know what I will. Maybe I will have to finally get some China to put in it. I'm sure Shane would love that idea.

Christmas Devotional

This year Shane and I had the wonderful opportunity to go and listen to The First Presidency Christmas Devotional. It was a wonderful time and the spirit was very strong. Thank you sooooooooo much Renee' for the tickets (Sorry that you were sick with the flu bug and couldn't go. We did have a wonderful time though). Thanks again Mom and Dad for coming with us at the last minute. I was so grateful that you were both able and willing to go.

Here is the one and only picture I took that night. This was taken after the Devotional, so I did not break any laws, by taking pictures during the program. It's not the best picture (sorry about the patrons I had to be quick), but it will have to do. The Christmas decorations are always beautiful on and around Temple Square.

Taylor family are we planning on doing a family trip in this year? We missed it last year and I really missed sharing and spending the time with you all.

Shane being cheesy!!!!

I forgot to post this picture with my last post. Shane is really not of fan of getting his pictures taken; but then again what guy is? When Shane has any pictures taken it is either all cheese or all Mr. Grumpy. This one is him being kind of cheesy.

Christmas is here!!!

Shane and I got our Christmas decorations up and I have to say that it takes us all day if not multiple days to get things together, and only one day to take them down. I do enjoy this season, but without the snow and it still being 50 degrees, it doesn't really feel like Christmas around here. I wanted to share a few pictures with everyone what our tree looks like.

Hopefully next year I will have a new tree. This one is several years old and was a hand me down, but it has seen better years. The branches on the bottom are laying lower to the ground then normal. I think that a "Spookie" cat has something to do with that.

Blessings

I love this time of year, not only for the time that we spend with family during the holidays, but for the fact that as we get closer to Christmas we become a little more thankful for the things that we have been given.
I have much to be thankful for this year, I am so indeed grateful for the many trials that Shane and I faced this year. I truly have to say that it has been the hardest year of my life, but I am thankful for the love that my Savior gives me, so that I can make it through life's trials. I am so thankful for my wonderful family, you have always been so supportive with everything and anything that comes our way. I am grateful for Shane, for his patience, his devotion and his love. He will never truly understand how much I love him for who he is and the man that he is. I am grateful for my calling and for what the youth have taught me. I have a stronger testimony of the gospel because of these strong, valiant individuals, who are truly Christ like in all they do. I am grateful for my many friends and neighbors, you all are such a wonderful blessing in our lives, and I am so glad to call home "HOME". Shane and I could not have asked for anything better than you. I am grateful for eternal families, for the peace and comfort that knowing our family is together forever. I am grateful for our son, Markham, though our time with you was short lived, you blessed our lives in so many ways.
Thank you all for all that you have done for our family this year. We truly have been blessed!!!!
May the Lord bless all of you with bounteous blessings this Christmas season, and coming year.
Thanks again for everything. We love you all!!!! Natalie and Shane

Tag your it!!!

Sorry I forgot to mention who I wanted to Tag. Since most of my friends have been or recently been tagged. I am leaving you off my list. So I am tagging mainly family. Mom, Egans, Nato and Robin oh and let me not forget about the Forsgrens. Have fun.

Tag your it!!!! WHAT???

Well I was tagged by a friend of mine, and she wanted me to list all the weird things that I do. Trust me there are way to many. So here goes, I will give it my best shot.

1. When I fill up my car with gas, IT HAS to be to an exact dollar amount and if that won't do 50 cents will work. So it can be $24.00 or 24.50 not 32.62. It drives me crazy.

2. I guess I have a difficult time making food. My family used to joke that I couldn't make Jell-O, Shane says I can't make anything fried. I just ruin it. I can't make pancakes, I get the dough to thick on the griddle and they look great, but are a soggy, gooey mess in the middle.

3. My pillows on my bed have to be in the exact order form Big to small. I laugh every time Shane trys to trip me up. I laugh and then fix it. I guess I'm a little OCD about my pillows.

4. I don't know how to use bleach when washing towels. I have ruined soooooooooo many towels just by trying to get them bleach clean. We had to invest in some color safe bleach for me.

5. I have a hard time deciding what to wear, I change multiple times everyday before I leave the house. Even to church activities.

6. I can't go anywhere without my hair or makeup done. Thanks mom!!!!

7. I have to check caller ID and the messages every time we get home from anywhere. I may miss a call from somebody. This drives Shane nuts.

8. I take a security blanket with me to work everyday. It's my green bag. It has a bunch of stuff in there that I just might need one day.

9. I have to take a mug of water with me everywhere I go. If I don't have it I feel lost.

Salt Lake Temple Pictures

I wanted to share these pictures with all of you. I took these pictures the last time the youth from our ward went to do Baptisms. I think that the pictures turned out GREAT!!!! I love my new camera, and I am still learning how to use the thing. Thanks again Shane for a wonderful birthday and Christmas present.

Brand New Year Recording

On November 5th, the youth from our ward/stake had the wonderful opportunity to attend a video recording for an upcoming video broadcast that will be shown to the youth and their leaders throughout the world this upcoming January. It was really fun to be apart of this event. I just hope that the youth walked away from the Conference Center feeling the spirit and remembering what they had heard from Elder Jeffery R. Holland. The message Elder Holland gave was excellent and really gave all of us a different view of living up to the standards of the gospel and to NEVER DENY WHAT YOU BELIEVE AND KNOW IS TRUE!!!!!

Here are a few picture that I took of all of us waiting for the program to start.
Me and Brooke

Sandy, Mandy and Chelsea

Rebecca, Shelby and Hillary

Brittany, Breanna, Rees and Natasha

Nicole, Britt and Breanna

Rees our little Hannah Montana

It really was just of sea of youth everywhere with a handful of leaders. I felt bad for the couples leaving the Temple that night, being bombarded with youth from every direction, and I even joked about it. The funny thing was that, that Thursday (Nov. 6th) was our stake temple day, and when we left to go home Shane and I along with Jeff and Rebecca Forsgren were with the sea of youth who were attending the Thursday night recording of the same program. It was an adventure, but was worth it.

So I think I have to be the worlds worst blogger. My last post was almost a month ago. I had been on here to post other items but couldn't figure out what to post. My brother and his family seem to update their blog weekly, and even my mom has updated her's a couple of times during the October. So I guess that classifies me as the world's worst blogger.

October has been quite busy for us Kempton's going here and there, to work, fishing, hunting, class reunions, the temple, dinners with family, youth activities, and the list goes on and on and on. Work has been challenging for me, things have been slow for a few months now as a result of the current economy, and a few other things that would take to much time to type out.
I have REALLY needed to find a new job for quite sometime, but never really lit the fire under my feet, until we found out that they were doing away with one of the shifts at work, and not getting rid of any employees 23 of us to be exact (to me it just doesn't make sense that would be 12/11 per shift and no work to supply that many of us), and were changing our hours to 8:30 to 5:00 M-F. YUCK!!!!! Sorry for all of you who work those hours. I have worked early hours for many years and usually find myself getting up around 4:30 am to be to work by 6:30 am. I am currently pursuing other options and if you have any ideas for me I would love them. Please pray that I will find something and SOON. I will keep everyone posted.

I love Fall!!!

Well Fall is officially here in Grantsville. I have been waiting for cooler weather for WEEKS now and can hardly wait to snuggle on the coach with a nice warm blanket. I love fall for several reasons, but I think the ones that top my list are: 1. The falls colors (I love living in Utah, the seasons that we get here are amazing, and I love them all, but I really love all of the fall foliage. Orange, Reds, Yellow. The color combos are breath taking to me). 2. Snuggling with a warm blanket on the couch because its still to early to turn that furnace on. Shane is a heater himself, so I snuggle with a blanket and not him. I would just make him hotter. 3. HALLOWEEN-- I love seeing all the kids in costume and I LOVE ALL OF THAT CANDY. 4. MLB PLAYOFFS- I love baseball and love watching the playoffs. Shane and I surprisingly met during playoffs. I however haven't been watching any games, a few innings here and there, not that I am boycotting. I should be!!! I am a Yankees fan and they didn't make this year after 12 years straight- Thanks a lot Joe Torre. I am rooting for the White Sox and the Cubbies. I REFUSE to cheer for BOSTON and the DODGERS.
I had to change my blog wallpaper to one that fit the season. I hope that you all enjoy it. I sure do.

Friday Night Lights (Grantsville Style)

Last friday night, my neice performed during half time at the Grantsville Cowboys football game. Aynsley took a mini cheer class from the cheerleaders at the high school, and couldn't wait to perform. She did a fabulous job, and we can't wait to see more of her routines. Here are some of the pictures from that night. I am still trying to get used to my new camera with all it settings, so some of the pictures are a little blurry. Sorry!!!! Shane told me on friday night after the game that my camera does in fact have a sports setting. Oh well, like I said I'm still getting used to it.

Hunting Shane Style

I'm such a blogging slacker. It has been a while since I last blogged anything at. Shane's hunting adventure proved to be unsuccessful. Personally I think that he is way to picky and the animal has to be the perfect one. He could just be getting soft in his old age too. Shane did however have a mean and nasty pit bull attack his bumper on his truck out in Rush Valley one evening while he was doing a road hunt. As soon as I get a good clear picture of his bumper I will post the picture. I didn't believe his story at first but there are seriously teeth marks (and blood) from that stupid dog. Maybe he should take up hunting Pit bulls.

Still Hunting!!!

Well as many of you know, that I am married to a great white hunter (or so Shane thinks he is), and Shane has spent a lot of time since August 16 on the Archery hunt for Elk and Deer. He has been unsuccessful as of yet and informs me that he has a few more days to bring home the big trophy. I am glad that Shane enjoys his time in the great outdoors. Good luck hunting Sunshine!!!
Maybe Shane should take up reading. Shane informed me last night that I am officially grounded from reading for a month. I told him to let me finish the book I was on and then I would take a break. Let's just see how long that lasts. =)

Aynsley

I watched Aynsley earlier this week, while her mom attended meetings at church and school. She brought over 29 new littlest pet shop toys that she got for her birthday. She wanted someone to play with her, but I wanted her to show me how to play pet shop. I never had these toys as a girl and really don't know what they do. They are kind of cute, but they remind me of a "Bratz' version of an animal or insect. Instead of playing she settled for watching Hannah Montana on Disney and knew every word of that show. My guess is that she watches Disney way to much, or they must play that episode every day. After the show was over she informed me that she was bored as she does often. We started reading a story, but she didn't want to read because it just happened to be a chapter book. I am just going to keep trying to show her how easy chapter books really are.

Florida Trip March '08

As I was listening to the news this evening and hearing what a mess Tropical Storm Faye was causing to Florida, I realized I never posted our Disney World trip pictures. Shane and I got drenched in a rain storm on our trip. Nathan assured me that it didn't rain like that all the time done there, but it did wonders for my hair the next day . We arrived at Epcot and within a half an hours time my hair was curly, and had to put my hair back in a hat(to bad I don't have pictures to prove of it). We loved Florida, hated the water and HATED the humidity. We just wish that Nathan and his family lived so much closer Florida is just to far away. Thanks for the memories Nathan and fam we had a tons of fun!!!!!

I think for the most part it has been hard to think of the trip, or even to post these pictures, because it was just a few short weeks after our trip that Shane and I lost our baby. I hope many of you understand how hard this loss was for Shane and I, as we had been awaiting a little one for quite some time. We have no new news to report on that subject and just hope and pray that it won't be long before we do. Please keep praying for us.

Breaking Dawn and Moab

I finally finished the new book by Stephanie Meyers 'Breaking Dawn'. I thought that it was a good story and it finished well. I went to a 'Breaking Dawn' party in Tooele with my good friend Summer from work. The party was at a small local book store and I was surprised to see how many crazed vampire lovers there really are out there. I really enjoyed the whole saga and can't wait to read more from Stephanie Meyers. I am soooooo glad that there are authors that care about their religion and values enough to bring it into their writing. Thank you Stephanie !!!!

On the Thursday prior to the Breaking Dawn release, Shane had to make a quick trip to South eastern Utah for work. The trip included stops in Price, Moab and Vernal. He enjoyed his time while on this trip and went to Arches National Park to take in some of the breath taking views down in the Moab area. It was a quick trip and he really would like to spend more time down in Moab checking out everything there is to see. Shane was disappointed that I couldn't get the time off of work, but I think we will plan a trip there in the near future.

Happy Birthday Nan

As you all know I had the luxury of having another birthday a few weeks ago. I turned 33 and can't say that I am loving it. I got heart attacked that morning from a few of my close friends. It was a nice surprise to see when Shane and I were leaving for work. Shane didn't know what to think at first and then he just started laughing at me (he does this almost everyday, and says that I really should be a blond).
We had a birthday party for me at my mom's house, where she fixed Lasagna for dinner. We all had an enjoyable time with cake and ice cream for dessert. I have to say the best thing about a summer birthday is ice cream. Nothing truly cools you off more than a bowl of ice cream.
YUM YUM!!!

Hello to all

Hi there!!! Shane and I are new to the blogging thing, and I really can't tell you why we even started one. I guess we thought it would be nice to share with you all the happenings of our lives.
Please share a comment or two, and we really hope that you get to know the two of us a little better.
