Shane and I celebrated our fifth Anniversary this past April, and Shane had a wonderful surprise for me this year. As many of you know that I love Baseball, but more importantly Yankees Baseball. I have loved the team since I was little, and have followed them faithfully since the early 90's. Well last fall when they released the schedule for 2010, and found out the the Yankees would be playing Inter-league ball against the LA Dodgers in L.A. I instantly wanted to go, and I was literally trying to find EVERY option to go to this game.
Spring came and the day that tickets were to finally go on sale, and the Dodgers had them blocked out. The only way we would be purchasing tickets to the game was if we purchased a mini plan or were season ticket holders. Way to expensive, and I was not willing to do that for the Dodgers.
So I was disappointed, and resolved that I would be watching the series from home, and I was ok with that, when our anniversary rolled around. Shane came home, and told me a quick story of how he was cleaning out his tool box at work when he found our Wedding Announcement. I thought it was cute how he had held on to it for five years, then I decided to open it up and read it. Total shock came over my face when I read Dodgers.com on the side of the tickets, and was SO SUPER EXCITED!!!!! Shane's boss had helped him score tickets from a ticket dealer in L.A. Wow I have an amazing husband!!!! I love him more every day, and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I am glad that we share some of the same hobbies (baseball being the top of that list).
I love you Shane!!!! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary, with many more to come.
So with that the last weekend in June, Shane and I finally got to take our Anniversary trip. I was anticipating it ever since we had our anniversary. We spent a very nice and beautiful trip filled with Disneyland, a few Yankees/Dodgers games, shopping, the beach and even getting lost a time or two. We both enjoyed the days in Cali and the much needed rest and relaxation.
Here are a few pictures of our trip. Enjoy!!!! Sorry for the picture overload. I got a little camera happy when we were at the games, and drained my camera both nights.

Yankees/Dodgers Game 2
This title is a little misleading. It was really game 3, but game 2 for Shane and I.
Shane surprised me with these tickets when we got to California, and was shocked and thrilled at the same time. We timed this trip to Dodgers Stadium a little better then the first night. Traffic on a Friday in L.A. is horrible, it took about 45 minutes to go 2 miles. We arrived at the stadium in plenty of time for team warm ups. Wow it was so much fun!!!! I should have been braver to see if I could have gone down to see the players closer, and maybe get their autograph and a picture with them.

This game was so completely AWESOME!!!!! The Yanks were trailing all game until the 9th inning, they came back to tie the game up 6-6. These next pictures explain it all.

Second baseman Robinson Cano doubled, scoring A-Rod. Chad Huffman followed singling to right scoring was Cano and Posada, moving Curtis Granderson to third. Collin Curtis grounded out to first, but not before Granderson had a chance to score. Game tied 6-6 in the top of the 9th.

#42- Mariano Riveria- Best closer in the game came out to pitch the bottom of the 9th, and 10th innings.

This was in the bottom of the 9th. This is a dispute between the Dodgers and the Umps. Two of the Dodgers were thrown out of the game for arguing with the Ump over the call of the pitch.

Score tied 6-6 in the 9th inning

Shane and I sat by this kid, man was he FUN!!!! When the Yanks brought out Riveria to close the game he told the Dodgers fan behind us that the game was over. He couldn't have called it better.

The Yanks doing their high fives after the win. I have to say that is and was the best ballgame I have ever been to.

GAME OVER!!!!!! FINAL SCORE 8-6 WAY TO GO YANKEES!!!!!

Disneyland 2010
Shane and I went to California for a late anniversary. We decided that we would spend a few days in Disneyland while we were there.
Here are a few pictures

Snapped this pic while standing in line for over an hour to ride Splash Mountain. This was the first ride that we went on, and it happens to be one of our favorites.

This picture doesn't really show what I was hoping to. I got soaked on Splash, while Shane stayed dry.

I took a picture of this because I thought that it was so cute, and in honor of my favorite sport baseball, and the MLB All-Star Game which was held this year in Anaheim. They had Mickey done up in every teams logo, and were scattered all over Anaheim and L.A. I really wish that we would have had the time to go and find my teams. My only hope was that my sister found it and took a picture of it for me. As she was down in Cali for All- Star Festivities.

I took this picture from Paradise Pier while I was waiting for Shane to ride Screamin California. I always opt to not do this ride, as I get very motion sick, and was really suffering it this trip.

Shane on Screamin'. Can you spot him?

Shane on the MaliBoomer.

I took this picture after riding one our favorites in California Adventure, Tower of Terror, we rode it several times during our trip, as we both love it. The park was having a Glow Fest, and had all of these things which could have really tripped someone out if they were high on drugs. It was really weird, but cool at the same time. Look how the hippie van is glowing.

Aynsley's Dance Performance
Shane and I attended Aynsley's dance recital from Shellie's School of Dance, back in May. My sister and I took dance from Shellie, and I was excited that Aynsley got to take dance from the same school.
I regret quitting dance when I did, as I have missed it ever since. The dance teachers I had after Shellie were just not as good except for maybe High School.
The performance was AWESOME!!!!! They did an AWESOME tribute to the "King of Pop" Micheal Jackson. I wish I would have taken a few pictures of the tribute dance they were AMAZING!!!!! I look forward to many more years of Aynsley's dance recitals.
Here are a few pictures from her performance.
