To busy to blog

After looking at several of your blogs. I decided that I really need to post more. Shane and I have both been busy working, gardening, and both attending youth activities that our lives never seem to slow down. I guess that excuse will have to work cuz it's the only one I'm giving.

Shane and I attended Seminary graduation tonight and we will be attendeing High School Graduation on Tuesday. I have four girls whom I adore that will be graduating, and I love them so much.

Like any mother I'm very pleased with their decisions to continue to do what is right. I will miss these girls, next year and can say that I've truly been blessed to have gotten to know each and every one of them on a personal level. I love them like they are my own kids, and I am so grateful for the calling that I have to teach these young women how precious they are in the sight of God, and that Heavenly Father truly wants what is best for them. I pray for them daily and want them to be happy in all that they do.

Look what I'm getting!!!!

I am getting this in a few short weeks. I can hardly wait!!!!

Shane and I have been complaining for a VERY LONG time about our couch. We both have never really cared for the one we have now, and don't even know why we bought it.

We have to wait for our new couch, they didn't have it in stock, due to economy they aren't keeping the stock on hand. I really don't blame them.
I can live with the couch I have now for a few weeks.

Finally time to plant the garden

We finally planted a few things in our garden. Yippee!!!!! Shane and I had it as a goal to have our garden planted by May 1st. That is now come and gone, and we are just getting to it (thanks to rainy Saturdays every weekend). We have had things for our garden since Easter, and have been awaiting for the right time to plant them.

So Wednesday night Shane planted some of our Tomato plants, a few green beans and some broccoli, and left me with clear instructions that I was to water them while he was away on his fishing trip.



No worries the watering is getting done. We may be getting a later start to our garden, but watch out Bartletts and Stettlers, we are out to win.

Has it been four years already?

Shane and I will be celebrating our fourth anniversary this coming Wednesday (April 29th). I can't believe it has been four years. We have had a ton of fun these past four years, and have shared in good times and bad. I am so grateful for Shane and for the blessing that he has been in my life. I don't thank him enough for EVERYTHING he does for me. I love you Honey!!!!

These pictures are from our Wedding day. I love how the grounds around the Temple are all in full spring color. It really was a beautiful day, and couldn't ask for better weather I only wish it had been a little warmer. What a perfect day it was. Thank you all for sharing this wonderful day with Shane and I. We have been deeply blessed by your love and support these past years. We love you all!!!!

Shane loves this picture!!!! He and I laughed at how much older all of our nieces and nephews look now then from four years ago.

I love Baseball!!!!!

I love Baseball!!!! But more importantly I love the New York Yankees!!!!!!

Shane loves any sport, and will watch them all. Baseball is the one and only, that I can sit through the whole thing. I love the game that much. There is no rivalry quite like that of the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Socks (Well maybe Utah and BYU football games). I really have a love/hate relationship with Boston. I love the games when these two teams play together, there is so much tension you could cut it with a knife, and so much pressure to do your best and WIN that DANG game. I just hate losing to Boston!!!!! I am a Yankee fan through and through, and will remain loyal to my team.
This is my dream man. AHHHHHH Derek Jeter!!!!!!!

One day I will make it to New York to see the Yankees play at Yankee Stadium. Shane better be prepared. I will be waiting in line to get to meet my dream guy all day long. I'm not even kidding!!!! I WOULD WAIT FOR DEREK ALL DAY OR LONGER IF I HAVE TOO.

But really Shane you won me over. Why we meet during MLB playoffs, I will never know, it had to be timing. It taught you patience, and that you would have to be second to my Derek.

Markham's headstone

Well Shane and I finally got on the ball and ordered a headstone for Markham. It had been a long time coming, and I don't know why we had put off so long, we just did. We ordered it in March, and we were told that it would be in around Memorial day. So much to our surprise, when Shane and I went to check things out, it was already in place. I guess it has been in for a couple of weeks. What???? We never received a phone call saying that it was ready to be set or anything. Good thing I took my camera. It's not the best picture, as the sun was shining brightly. Anyways you get the idea.

Blessings through trials

After taking a few weeks off from blogging, I decided that it was time to get back to it. I have missed it. I love being able to update my friends and family with the happenings of our lives.
March has come and gone, and I have to say that it was much easier to get through then I expected.
I know most of you who read our blog, already know about our trials, but for those of you who don't know. Last March 17th, 18th and 19th we had good things happen, and not so good things happen. March 17th- we found out we were having a boy, and that I was diagnosed with a VERY SHORT cervix. To be able to carry this baby to term I was going to have to have my cervix stitched shut. The doctors thought that I would be fine for a few weeks, and I could wait to see what my doctor told me. Shane and I left with the hospital with a lot to take in. March 18th- My water broke and I went into a very pre-term labor (I was 18.5 weeks into my pregnancy). I was taken to the hospital, where Shane and I learned that I was going to lose our baby. It was extremely hard to hear, but Shane and I knew that everything would be alright. March 19th- Just shortly after midnight, our son was born. He had returned home to our Heavenly Father.
Though this experience was so hard on both Shane and I, it has taught us a lot of the Atoning sacrifice that our Savior Jesus Christ made for each and every one of us. This experience has strengthened our testimonies of our Savior. We both know that he lived and died for each one of us and that he took upon all of our pains, sins and aliments, so that we could come to this earth and experience the trials that we go through, so that in the end it will all be worth it.
I know that I had to go through this, so that one day I may be able to help someone else through the exact situation. Shane and I are so thankful to all of you who have been there for us this past year. Thank you again for your prayers, and the many, many talks about this experience, and others. You will never really know how this has helped me out, I am eternally grateful for family and friends like you. Shane and I have truly been blessed. Thank you for being there for me and lifting me up, when I was ready to fall apart. I love you all!!!! Nan

For I have to confess that I often fell asleep during his address', or I found myself focusing on other things. I know that this topic was revealed to him through the spirit, and that he is truly called by God. I will be listening to his address' from now on, and I hope that you will too.
